Life After College Athletics
My name is Cassidee Ranger and I am a retired Division I Athlete. I played four years of college basketball at Iona College (located in New Rochelle NY) and I graduated in this past May with a degree in Business Management. My college career was a memorable one for sure, filled with many highs, lows, amazing opportunities, experiences, friendships and more! I went into Iona College in the summer of 2012 as a child and left in 2016 as an adult.
In this blog I will be writing and sharing about my personal experiences, life after college athletics and about how student athletes cope with stress and depression. You will also see in my posts the type of time commitment it takes to be a student athlete, the dedication, the sacrifices student athletes have to make, injury/comeback and struggles student athletes have. As for current athletes who are reading this I hope I can help you and/or relate to you if you are currently dealing with stress and/or depression. As for my other readers I hope you take the time to see that behind all of the glam there is a lot of work that goes behind the scene and you can appreciate what we do/did!
